Job Description:

At Regions, the Intern works on department assignments while learning more about the financial services industry. As an intern, you will be provided with job skills and training, personal development, and networking opportunities, while experiencing Regions values. Regions offers college internship opportunities within various departments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Receives exposure to all basic functions of assigned group within the financial industry
• Exposed to a wide range of tasks including research, administrative and correspondence work and attend meetings
• Provides assistance in projects
• Gains valuable insight within a variety of functions while strengthening core skills and knowledge needed to launch a successful career
• Responsibilities will vary by internship

This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

• A college student who has interest in developing technical skills and gaining work experience
• Ability to work 40 hours a week for 10 weeks

This internship is specifically for the Capital Markets Structured Products Group in Atlanta, GA. At Regions, Capital Markets provides products and services to meet the needs of Corporate, Commercial, and Real Estate clients throughout the bank. Capital Markets provides hedging products that enable clients to manage risks associated with interest rate, commodity, and foreign exchange exposures. The capital raising services provided by Capital Markets complements the bank's own lending activities. Capital Markets also provides advisory services associated with mergers and acquisitions as well as non-traditional forms of capital. The array of products offered by Capital Markets helps Regions' relationship managers compete in today's rapidly evolving financial environment. Capital Markets provides guidance and support to Regions' line side, assisting them with winning and maintaining the role of trusted advisor to their clients. The list of product offerings is constantly expanding in reaction to market demands.

The Structured Products Group supports fintech, specialty finance, transportation and financial sponsor clients across the credit spectrum by providing financing and capital raising solutions backed by pools of cash flow generating assets.

- Warehouse Financing: origination, structuring and execution of financing transactions utilizing bankruptcy remote structures to decouple the credit risk of the assets from the originator

- Asset Backed Securities (ABS): Advisory, underwriting and distribution of public, 144A and private transactions in the ABS market

- Subscription Line Financing: origination, structuring and execution of financing transactions to private equity funds backed by LP capital commitments

The Capital Markets Securitized Products Intern can expect to partner across teams to build and analyze financial models and prepare client marketing materials, presentations, term sheets and proposals. Interns support senior team members in all aspects of the deal process including due diligence, structuring, underwriting, negotiation of transaction documents and monitoring of ongoing performance. Interns also assist in the cultivation of client relationships by conducting research, staying abreast of client and industry trends, and participating in industry and client-related strategic and tactical planning.
